2 Timothy 3:14-17

14  But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,   15  and how from infancy  you have known the Holy Scriptures,  which are able to make you wise  for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.   16  All Scripture is God-breathed  and is useful for teaching,  rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,   17  so that the servant of God [ a ]  may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Jesus the Good Shepherd

John 10:11-18 11  “I am  the good shepherd.  The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.   12  The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away.  Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.   13  The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. 14  “I am the good shepherd;  I know my sheep  and my sheep know me— 15  just as the Father knows me and I know the Father —and I lay down my life for the sheep.   16  I have other sheep  that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. James 2:14-26 14  What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?  Can such faith save them?   15  Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.   16  If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?   17  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18  But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds,  and I will show you my faith  by my deeds.   19  You believe that there is one God.  Good! Col. 3: 18-25 18  Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands,  as is fitting in the Lord. 19  Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. 20  Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. 21  Fathers, [ c ]  do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged. 22  Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.   23  Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,   24  since you know that you will receive an inheritance  from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving.   25  Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.
